We are currently seeking a Client Service & Intake Officer to join our Aged and Disability Team. The primary role of this position will provide the first point of contact for older people or people with disabilities and their carers seeking support at ADS. The Client Service and Intake Officer will provide intake and initial screening for referrals to the aged and disability services as well as dealing with client complaint and enquiries.

Essential:

  1. I have demonstrated experience and knowledge of working in a client intake service and customer/client service;
  2. I have effective communication skills, and can speak, understand and write in English very well;
  3. I am tech-savvy. I can confidently use a smartphone and a computer, and can teach others;
  4. I am willing to undergo a current National Police Clearance Check and show evidence of my eligibility to work in Australia;
  5. I have the ability to effectively network and collaborate with a wide range of professionals from private practice, Government and non-Government agencies;
  6. I can work independently as well as an effective member of the highly interacted aged and disability service team; 
  7. I hold a current driver’s license, and have access to a car for work;
  8. I am physically fit to fulfill the physical requirements of my role.

Desirable:

  1. Experience of working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse  people;
  2. Emotional intelligence;
  3. Problem-solving skills including conflict resolution.

We are currently seeking to employ Bilingual Case Worker for our Help at Home Program which provides support services to our clients over 65 years and over. The Case Coordinator plays a key engagement role with the clients to drive effective understanding and planning for clients to access ADS services and live the life they choose.

The Case Coordinator will provide information, initial screening, assessment, individual case coordination and/or support group services to clients and carers through the enablement and client centred approach.

Essential:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Aged Care, Community Services or relevant field;
  2. Experience in casework in the aged  including assessment and care planning;
  3. Demonstrated Commitment to person centre practice and Sound knowledge of community aged care industry including Act, policies and standards;
  4. Speak fluently in English and Macedonian;
  5. Highly developed written and verbal communication and negotiation skills;
  6. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as an effective member of the highly interacted aged and disability service team;
  7. Sound computer literacy including CRM;
  8. Hold a current driver’s license and a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance;
  9. A current National Police Check;
  10. Demonstrated skill in CALD community engagement.

Desirable:

  1. First Aid certificate;
  2. Previous experience in working with people with disability

Advance Diversity Services provides support services to people of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in the South East Sydney area (Eastern Suburbs, St George and Sutherland).

We currently have a number of positions available for Community Care Workers.

This role will require you to provide daily living support or personal care for our clients over 65 years and over; in their own homes or in the community.  All services are in line with each individuals care plan. 

Our ideal candidate will have a positive, cheerful personality, have excellent communication skills and be able to support the client to assist them in living as independently as possible. 

To be considered for this role you will need to possess the following criteria:

Essential:

  1. Certificate III or above in Community, Aged Care, Disability, Home-Care or equivalent;
  2. Previous experience working with frail aged people and /or  people with disabilities;
  3. Genuine interest in working with older people;
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with people from a diverse cultural background;
  5. Current National Police Check;
  6. Current Australian Drivers Licence and access to a fully comprehensive insured vehicle;
  7. Smart Phone and internet access;
  8. Bilingual and Bicultural.

Desirable:

  1. Current First Aid Certificate;
  2. Experience working with people with dementia, people living with a mental illness.
