We are currently seeking to employ Bookkeeper/Customer Service (Maternity Leave Locum). This role includes assisting with the development and maintenance of all relevant financial systems, operating systems and customer service.

This position requires a strong background in bookkeeping, finance and computer skills including general customer service, ability to keep a high level of confidentiality and work independently; effective organisational and communication skills.

Essential:

  1. Tertiary qualification in related field (e.g. accounts clerical, bookkeeping, accounting)
  2. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of finance management in the not for profit sector, including grants management, regulatory requirements and other special characteristics
  3. Demonstrated experience working with XERO Accounting including Payroll
  4. Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  5. Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
  6. Demonstrated experience working with internet banking
  7. Demonstrated ability to manage a large scale computerised accounting system and provides financial reports and statements to professional standards in a timely manner
  8. Demonstrated skills and competencies in customer service
  9. Must possess a current National Criminal Record Check clearance

Desirable:

  1. Demonstrated understanding of WH&S
  2. Experience in multi-tasking to complete a range of administrative tasks
  3. Experience in facilitating an annual financial audit process

ADS Settlement and Community Services provides support and settlement assistance to newly arrived migrants, refugees and humanitarian entrants living in St George and Sutherland areas; so they become self-reliant and participate equitably in Australian society.

The Event Support Assistant role aims at providing administrative support for activities designed to support newly arrived migrant and refugee job seekers including women and young people (aged between 18 and 25) living in St George and Sutherland Region. In particular, support is provided to the target group to build networks and develop their capacities to find employment.

This position requires a background in event management, and facilitation skills, as well as experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential:

  1. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and display personal drive and integrity.  
  2. Ability to work as a team.

  4. Excellent computing skills and ability to use Microsoft application, email, etc.
  5. Current driver license and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.

  1. Sales experience
  2. Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in social/welfare related fields.
  3. Bilingual/bicultural will be an advantage.

  5. Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
