Advance Diversity Services (ADS) is offering a range of support initiatives for the local Nepali community to help them through the tragedy that has unfolded following the earthquake that hit Nepal on Saturday 25th April.

We invite members of the local Nepali community in need of support during these distressing times to access any or all of the following:

Grief Counselling – we have organised access for you, members of your family or friends in the local Nepalese community to grief counselling services provided by St George Community Mental Health located at Level One, 15 Kensington St Kogarah. Their phone number is (02) 9553 2500. You do not need to make an appointment, just walk in and ask for the duty officer and let them know you need some grief counselling.

Candle Light Vigil – Advance Diversity Services and the ADS Nepalese reference group with support from Rockdale Council are organising a candle light vigil this Wednesday 29th April at the Kings Street Mall commencing at 5:30 pm. This gathering is open to the wider community to show love & respect for those that have been affected by the tragic earthquake in Nepal.

Group support session – Advance Diversity Services and the ADS Nepalese reference group will be organising a group support session for the Nepalese Community during the coming weekend (May 2-3). Please contact our office on (02) 9597 5455 for further details.
