 We are currently seeking to employ Program Managers for our Help at Home Services. This position requires a background in aged care sector, program management, client assessment, strong leadership and analytical skills, staff management, service planning, WH&S knowledge and requires abilities in managing a demanding workload and working with a range of people including CALD target group.

Essential Criteria:

  1. Hold an accredited tertiary qualification in human services / social science
  2. At least 3 years experiences in aged care service including staff and financial management, strategic planning, submission and reporting writing and service evaluation
  3. Demonstrated experience in service delivery of Home Care Package program
  4. Previous case management experience and understanding of individualised
  5. Knowledge and experience in developing and monitoring budgets, contract management and reporting.
  6. Ability to develop and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Solid understanding of relevant regulations, statutory requirement, compliance requirements, standards and practices relevant to the aged sector.
  8. Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  9. High level of computer literacy
  10. Holds a current NSW driver’s licence, access to a car for work.

Desirable Criteria:

  1. CALD community engagement experience.
  2. Understanding of changing landscape within the aged and disability sector.
  3. Previous experience in Client Record Management System

We are currently seeking a Rostering Officer to join our Aged and Disability Team. The primary role of this position will be responsible for the overall coordination of rostering and liaison with staff and clients to ensure efficient and effective support to ADS at aged care and disability services.

Essential

  1. Demonstrated Commitment to ADS values and philosophy
  2. Previous experience in coordinating rostering services
  3. Experienced in client liaison and excellent communication skills in particular communication via  telephone

  5. Ability to work with people of diverse cultural backgrounds
  6. Ability to make sound judgement in regards to the matching of staff to clients
  7. Excellent prioritising and organising skills in relation to a variable workload;
  8. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as an effective member of the highly interacted aged and disability service team;

Desirable

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of community aged care (Home Care packages and CHSP) and disability services
  2. Experience of working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse  people

Advance Diversity Services provides support services to people of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in the South East Sydney area (Eastern suburbs, St George and Sutherland).

We currently have a number of positions available for Community Care Workers to provide direct in-home services to our clients aged 65 years and over.

This role will require you to work in our client’s homes providing domestic assistance, personal care, respite, social support including transporting client and meal preparation.  All services are in line with each individuals care plan. Our ideal candidate will have a positive, cheerful personality, have excellent communication skills and be able to support the client to assist them in living as independently as possible.

To be considered for this role you will need to possess the following criteria:

Essential:

  • Certificate III or above in Community, Aged Care, Disability, Home-Care or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with frail aged people and /or people with disabilities
  • Genuine interest in working with older people and /or people with disabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with people from diverse cultural background
  • Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence (Provisional Licence accepted) and access to a fully comprehensive insured vehicle
  • Smart Phone and internet access

Desirable:

  • Bilingual and Bicultural
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Experience working with people with dementia, people living with a mental illness

Conditions:

Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS), Level 2, pay point dependent on qualifications and experience.
